To Gym or Not to Gym?
Although I don’t think gyms are necessary to exercise and get fit, I do think that if you have been inactive for a period of time, then joining a gym is an important step in starting yourself back on a fitness journey. This is because it provides you with some structure and a dedicated place to exercise. I think it can just give you that extra motivational push that sometimes we all need.
24 Hour Fitness Gyms
As I said, I have mixed feelings about gyms. Mostly I like them, but some things just annoy me about them. I think though, that as far as gym chains go, 24 hour fitness is doing almost everything right.
They have 400+ clubs across America, and as the name suggests, they are open 24 hours. So that takes care of problem number one right there – opening hours. It also means that I have more flexibility to choose a time to train that I’m comfortable with (for me that is when the gym is quiet and most of the machines are free). They also offer a range of classes, if that’s your thing. And for those just getting started or people feeling a bit lost when it comes to exercise, 24 Hour Fitness offers a free health & fitness consultation to start you off in the best way possible. Other facilities include a kids club, amenities such as lap pools and saunas, a fitness blog with loads of tips, tricks and advice and personalised training programs tailored by in house personal trainers.
The Bottom Line
If you’ve been thinking about joining a gym, but you’re not entirely convinced, here is the solution: you can get a free pass here to try out a 24 Hour Fitness club and see what you think. If you do decide to go ahead and join, 24 Hour Fitness offers different deals and specials throughout the year, so be sure to check out their current rates. I think overall their rates are reasonable and their clubs are consistently good – lots of machines and a range of facilities. You can click here for a special membership offer available right now.
